Prepare to feel like an underachiever! Little Big Shots, premiering on NBC on Sunday, March 13, will give talented youngsters a chance to show off their surprising skills, and in a promo exclusive to Us Weekly, executive producers Steve Harvey and Ellen DeGeneres explain why the show is so much fun to work on — and watch.
The variety series centers on host Harvey, 59, interacting with children between the ages of 3 and 14, who are there to showcase talents ranging from acrobatics to athletics to stage performances.
“It’s not a competition — it’s just an entertaining show with adorable little precocious children,” DeGeneres, 58, says in the clip. “Steve is the perfect host for this because he’s great with kids, and the kids are great with him because they just think he’s a big, goofy guy.”
“These kids have provided some really, really magical moments,” Harvey adds. “There’s some kids out here that [do] some amazing stuff.”
Parents who have talented kids of their own are also in luck, as NBC is launching the Little Big Shots Hollywood Sweepstakes. Parents and legal guardians can submit videos of their children (ages 4 to 17) demonstrating abilities such as playing sports, excelling in academics or singing and dancing. A randomly selected winner will receive a trip to California to visit Universal Studios Hollywood and attend a live taping of The Voice.
“The Little Big Shots Hollywood Sweepstakes is a great way for families to participate in the fun from home and showcase their amazing kids and talents,” Harvey said in a press release. “We can’t wait to see the extraordinary entries.”

Little Big Shots premieres on NBC on Sunday, March 13, at 8 p.m. EST. A sneak preview airs Tuesday, March 8, at 10 p.m. EST.
