Flight Attendant Robynn Shayne Covers Lorde’s “Royals” on a Plane, Video Goes Viral: Watch!

We'll take this over a movie any day! Flight attendant Robynn Shayne took in-flight entertainment to new heights recently when, at the request of a colleague, she broke out her guitar and performed a cover of Lorde's breakout hit "Royals" to kill time while delayed at the airport.

"On a lovely winter day I came across my coworker Robynn who I noticed was carrying a guitar with her on our trip," Nick Stracener explained on YouTube. "I then asked her if she played and she said she loves to play and sing. Then this happened. Let's get this video viral for her and get her a record deal! OR GET HER ON THE ELLEN SHOW!!"

The record deal and Ellen appearance are still pending, but Stracener can put a big checkmark by goal No. 1. His YouTube video of Shayne singing and playing her guitar has more than 525,000 views — at least one of which belongs to Lorde herself.

On Thursday, Nov. 27, the 18-year-old "Yellow Flicker Beat" songstress tweeted a link to Jezebel's story about Shayne — along with her stamp of approval.

Shayne — who, according to multiple reports, is a flight attendant for American Airlines — returned the love on Facebook, sharing a screenshot of Lorde's tweet with the caption "Best Thanksgiving EVER!"
