Glee Season 5 Promo: Darren Criss Gives Upbeat Sneak Peek Of Beatles Tribute Episodes

Darren Criss is staying upbeat about Season 5 of Glee, despite the noticeable absence of his late co-star Cory Monteith. In a new teaser for the upcoming season, the 26-year-old actor gives a sneak peek into the first two Beatles tribute episodes.

"We are coming back with one of the greatest secret weapons — Beatlemania. Beatles is a big deal for me," he says in the footage.

"At the end of Season 4 we had a little bit of a cliffhanger," he mentions. "A little box behind Blaine's back. Who knows what's in the box?" he sarcastically adds. On the season four finale of the FOX series, Criss' Blaine Anderson is seen hiding a ring box from Kurt Hummel (Chris Colfer). "Blaine's getting ideas. It may have something to do with something that rhymes with "shah-posal."

Indeed, a lot of changes are on the way for the kids in Lima, Ohio — especially with Jane Lynch's Sue Sylvester taking on the new role of principal! "Sue Sylvester is up to her old tricks being evil and mean," the star adds.

The new video teaser comes on the heels of Naya Rivera revealing her character Santana Lopez's new love interest at McKinley High — Demi Lovato! "She's playing my love interest, so I'm very, very excited about that," Rivera, 26, told MTV News on Sunday, Aug. 25. "We get to sing a song together. It's gonna be good. I'm excited to work with her. We're bringing her to the dark side. Well, she comes in in a Beatles episode, so [we're singing] a Beatles song. I'm excited."

Lovato, 26, added via Twitter: "Wayyyyy too excited to be starting @GLEE this week!!!!!!! Asjfkdjshdk. I can't believe I'm going back to acting but the best part about it is that I get to act/sing with some of my really great friends . . ."
