After a very long New York City winter, it’s almost time to kick off the summer — and there’s no better way to do that than at the annual Governors Ball music festival.
The event celebrates its 15th anniversary this year with another three-day outing at Flushing Meadows Corona Park in Queens. With past performers including Billie Eilish, ASAP Rocky, Post Malone, Travis Scott, J Balvin, Childish Gambino, Lorde, Eminem, The Strokes, Cage the Elephant and Tyler, the Creator, the festival has drawn in legendary talent from all genres, and the 2025 edition is no exception.

What Is Governors Ball?
Founded in 2011, Governors Ball, also known as Gov Ball, features a variety of artists from genres including hip-hop, electronic, indie, pop and more. Originally held on New York City’s Governors Island, the festival was moved the following year to Randalls Island, where it remained for eight years. In 2021, it was moved to Citi Field in Queens before landing in Flushing Meadows Corona Park in 2023.
When and Where Is Governors Ball 2025?
This year, Gov Ball will be held Friday, June 6, through Sunday, June 8, at Flushing Meadows Corona Park in Queens.
Who Is Performing at Governors Ball This Year?
Headliners include Tyler, the Creator and Benson Boone on Friday, Olivia Rodrigo and Feid on Saturday and Hozier and Glass Animals on Sunday. Other notable acts include The Backseat Lovers, T-Pain, Tyla, Wallows, Role Model, Conan Gray, Clairo, Mt. Joy, Key Glock and The Japanese House.
How Do I Buy Tickets?
Limited one-day passes are still available for Friday and Sunday, starting at $179 for general admission, $295 for general admission plus and $429 for VIP, with two-day general admission passes starting at $355. All three-day passes and one-day VIP pit viewing passes are available to purchase via official resale on the festival’s website.
What Is Happening Beyond the Music?
Gov Ball will also feature experiences with brands such as American Apparel, which will host a T-shirt lab with customization bar, and Kiehl’s, which will offer an SPF-themed booth. Other brands hosting experiences include Verizon, Pacsun, Stella Artois x Hot Ones, Rakuten and Grey Goose. Onsite food and drink vendors include Davey’s Ice Cream, Gotham Burger Social Club, Bel-Fries, Doughnuttery, Flaming Wok, Café Habana and more.
