And so it goes. The eighth season of The Real Housewives of Orange County ended just last month, but there’s already some drama brewing over the yet-to-be-announced ninth season. Sources confirm to Us Weekly that Gretchen Rossi and Alexis Bellino — who joined the Bravo series in season four and season five, respectively — have not been asked to return. (E! was first to report their exits.)
“Alexis and Gretchen were fired,” one source tells Us. “They just had run their course. Gretchen has been on the show a long time, and it was the same old story.” (Bravo had no comment on the news.)
Still among the current cast members are Vicki Gunvalson, Tamra Judge, Heather Dubrow, and Lydia McLaughlin. Gunvalson is the only Housewife who has been with the show from the beginning; Judge joined in season three, while Dubrow and McLaughlin joined in seasons seven and eight.
Rossi and Bellino started out on the series as friends but had a falling out in season seven, when Rossi accused her pal of being “pretentious.” The ex-pals later attempted a reconciliation in season eight, but things didn’t go as planned.
In July, they took their fight to Twitter. “She was my friend for 2 1/2 years & NEVER told me [she had an issue] til it was the cool thing to do,” Bellino tweeted of Rossi.

“So not true,” Rossi retorted. “I tried to tell u in many different ways but u never listened, so I had to be a little more direct.” Later, she added: “I was ready to move on! But you couldn’t even recognize your wrongdoings as well or say you’re sorry. You weren’t all innocent in all this, A.”
