Jackson and April Reach Devastating Low on ‘Grey’s Anatomy’: ‘We Need to Talk About Getting a Divorce’

Past the point of no return? Jackson Avery (Jesse Williams) and April Kepner (Sarah Drew) have a heartbreaking conversation about ending their marriage in Grey’s Anatomy‘s Thursday, February 25, episode.

A new preview clip from the ABC medical drama shows the pair addressing their future following Jackson having moved out of their home earlier this season.

“We need to talk about getting a divorce,” the plastic surgeon somberly tells his wife. “We’re not even living together.”

April admits that she still wants them to work things out, as she says that it wasn’t until returning from her tour of duty in Jordan that she was able to fully recover from their baby Samuel’s death.

“You think I was somehow just fine after Samuel?” Jackson asks. “You don’t think I was dying, too?”

The trauma surgeon replies, “Not like me — you were coping. You were OK.”

Thursday’s episode centers on the couple’s rocky relationship, including flashbacks to their wedding and other key moments in their past.
