Gerard Butler is here to save the day — again. In London Has Fallen (in theaters March 4), the Scottish actor, 46, reprises his role from 2013’s Olympus Has Fallen and reteams with costars Angela Bassett and Morgan Freeman.
This time, the trio must try to stop a plot to assassinate a group of world leaders who’ve descended on the British capital for the prime minister’s funeral. Us Weekly has your first look at a scene from the political thriller!
In the exclusive clip above, Bassett’s director of the Secret Service, Lynn Jacobs, has a heart-to-heart with Butler’s Mike Banning, who’s now a Secret Service lead agent — and a dad-to-be.
“I loved the chance to play Lynn Jacobs, not once, but twice now,” 57-year-old Bassett tells Us. “Getting back on this set was like a fun reunion – Gerard and Morgan are delights to work with.”
