Jamie Dornan Cast in WWII Drama Anthropoid After Fifty Shades Success

Jamie Dornan was cast in a new World War II drama.

Not just a one hit wonder! Coming off of the success of Fifty Shades of Grey, leading man Jamie Dornan has already been cast in a new film. The Irish actor, 32, who portrayed kinky billionaire Christian Grey, will next appear in a World War II drama Anthropoid, The Guardian reports.

Dornan will play a Czechoslovakian soldier involved in the real-life assassination attempt on SS officer Reinhard Heydrich. The film is being directed by Brit Sean Ellis, who is best known for his independent films Cashback and Metro Manila. Batman star Cillian Murphy will costar alongside Dornan.

The actor is also set to star in The 9th Life of Louis Drax as Dr. Allan Pascal.

Since Fifty Shades premiered on Valentine's weekend, the highly anticipated film adaptation brought in more than $485 million worldwide. Critical response has been mixed, with many complaining about Dornan's vacant performance as the S&M-obsessed billionaire.

Us Weekly film critic Mara Reinstein described one Fifty Shades sex scene between Dornan and Dakota Johnson as "more sterile than a doctor's office."

The former model has already agreed to reprise his role in any future sequels of the Fifty Shades franchise.
