Jennifer Lopez's first season as a judge on American Idol may also have been her last.

The singer-actress, 41, who appeared on FOX's reality juggernaut for season 10, says she's "on the fence" about re-upping her deal. (She signed a one-year contract last October for a reported $12 million).

Speaking to BBC Radio 1's Scott Mills, Lopez admits she's putting off the decision making process — while her late 2011 schedule is quickly filling up.

"I had an amazing time doing it and I loved it but I have a lot other things happening, and it's going to come down to me making a choice of really what I want to do for the next year. We're not really at the breaking point of 'You have to make a decision right now!'" Lopez, mom to twins Max and Emme, 3, told Mills. "I'm just really enjoying the time of just waiting and seeing."

In the meantime, Lopez tells Mills she's mulling a return to acting and "heavily" considering a project with a September start date.

"I miss acting. I haven't done a movie in a [while], and you realize, 'Wow, two years have gone by and I haven't done a movie!'" she said. "[My husband] Marc [Anthony] is working on [TV's Hawthorne] with Jada Pinkett Smith and just going to set and smelling the acting going on…I miss it. I definitely want to get back to it very soon."

Lopez and Anthony are also set to search for undiscovered singers and dancers on the Latin competition series Q'Viva! The Chosen starting in July. As she continues in the reality TV realm for the time being, Lopez has fond memories of fostering new talent on Idol.

"You get to know them," she says of the show's contestants. "You get to know their hopes and their dreams on camera, off-camera. You're helping them off camera, you're helping them on camera and it's this crazy ride you go on together."

"You definitely get involved, I definitely get involved," Lopez continued. "I am very emotional as you can see from the show. That's just how I am."
