Move over Reese Witherspoon: it's Jewel's turn to Walk the Line.

The four-time Grammy nominee is slated to star in a Lifetime biopic about June Carter Cash, the network announced in a statement Thursday.

"Many people know about the legendary love story of Johnny and June," Executive Vice President of Programming Rob Sharenow told Us Weekly. "But June Carter Cash has her own epic journey filled with triumphs, tragedies, loves and losses . . . we're thrilled Jewel will be playing the title role."

This will be Jewel's first major acting role; wed to rodeo star Ty Murray, the 38-year-old Voice mentor has been focusing on her family over the last few years. Last July, she became a first-time mom to Kase, who she says has been serving as the inspiration for her most recent endeavor.

"I write about what his personality is like, things he can look back on," Jewel told Us last month about her newest project, a book. It's "about all the things I'd do for Kase because I love him," she revealed.

This won't be the first time June Carter Cash–who passed away in 2003 at the age of 73–will be portrayed in a film; Reese Witherspoon won an Oscar for her take on The Carter Family singer in 2005's Walk the Line.
