Maybe she’ll meet someone she loves … even more. JoJo Fletcher was announced as the next Bachelorette during ABC’s After the Final Rose special on Monday, March 14 — and the crowd went wild.
The Dallas native, 24, has been a fan favorite of Ben Higgins‘ season 20 on The Bachelor since the show began in January. She played nice, brought the genuine tears and rocked some of the best rose ceremony gowns ever.
Fletcher may have lost to Higgins’ now-fiancée, Lauren Bushnell, but soon enough she’ll have 25 eligible men competing for her heart.

1. Her Strong-Willed Attitude
The real estate developer is a straight shooter. She’ll tell you like it is and won’t be afraid to send a contestant home if she’s not feeling it. She’s also a great communicator. This was evident through her relationship with Higgins. The hunky star often called her his best friend because they had such a deep connection.
2. Her Sense of Humor
She’s adventurous, fun and a good time all around! She faced her fears by jumping off a cliff with Higgins and even laughed off that time a bunch of pigs came barreling toward her in the ocean. Any group or one-on-one date next season is sure to be entertaining.

3. Her Style Is Seriously the Best
Fletcher turned heads over and over again during Higgins’ season — even when she stepped out of the limo wearing a unicorn mask. Her dresses, countless jean shorts and colorful bikinis (that neon yellow!) were always on point. Not to mention, the star looks gorgeous without makeup and can make the perfect messy top bun look, well, not that messy.
4. Her Mom Is a Riot
No glassware needed! Fletcher’s mom, Soraya, knows how to relax when tensions are high. She cracked audiences up when she chugged a bottle of wine during Higgins’ hometown date. Fletcher drank up with her mom and dad, Joseph, again while backstage at ATFR on Monday night.
5. Her Brothers Are Crazy Overprotective and It’s Fascinating
Drama, meltdowns, repeat! Fletcher’s siblings Matt and Ben are bound to be just as cutthroat with her next love interest. The men accused Higgins of brainwashing their sister during what was supposed to be a friendly visit on The Bachelor.
