That's all folks! Jon Stewart's tenure as host of The Daily Show officially came to an end on Aug. 6, and he celebrated with a blowout episode full of his best friends. We're talking cameos from Steve Carell, Martin Scorsese, and Ed Helms, not to mention future Late Night host Stephen Colbert, who made Stewart cry actual happy tears.

Check out the biggest moments from Stewart's emotional, hilarious, and poignant final episode in our roundup below, and try not to weep too hard!

So Many Corespondents, So Little Time

Instead of doing a show full of celebrity interviews, Jon Stewart devoted his last show to some good ol' fashioned post-debate coverage. The catch? All his favorite Daily Show corespondents got in on the action: Ed Helms, John Hodgman, John Oliver, Kristen Schaal, Samantha Bee, Steve Carell, Rob Corddry, Olivia Munn, and Darth Vader (not to be confused with Dick Cheney).

Jon Stewart's Haters Said Bye Forever

Jon Stewart's made a lot of frenemies throughout the years, and they gathered to bid him farewell. Highlights included the CEO of Arby's saying "It's like the TV threw up on your face," John McCain musing "So long, jackass," and, of course, Jon's arch nemesis, Bill O'Reilly, saying "have fun feeding your rabbits, quitter."

Stephen Colbert Went on an Epic LOTR Rant…

Stewart's main correspondent and BFF, Stephen Colbert, showed up to bid him a fond farewell, referring to himself as the Sam to Stewart's Frodo: "Jon, one of us is adult size and does not have hairy toes," Colbert quipped. "And Jon, like Frodo you are leaving us on a voyage to undying lands." (Er, New Jersey.)

…and Then He Brought Jon Stewart (and Us) To Tears

On a more serious, sweet, and majorly sob-inducing note, Colbert thanked Stewart for years of mentorship. "We owe you because we learned from you. We learned from you by example, how to do a show with intention, how to work with clarity, how to treat people with respect," Colbert said as Stewart wiped away tears. "We are better people for having known you … I do not know what I would do if you hadn't brought me on this show." Annnnd, cue everyone crying.

Stewart and Wyatt Cenac Patched Things Up

Former Daily Show writer Wyatt Cenac had a slightly awkward moment with Jon Stewart when he accused his former boss of saying "F— off. I’m done with you," after he challenged a comedy bit. Cenac appeared on the show for Stewart's last night to patch things up, saying, "I'm good. You good?"

Trevor Noah Set Up Shop

Trevor Noah is taking The Daily Show's reins from Jon Stewart, and while audiences are feeling slightly traumatized by the change due to all the #StewartFeels, the two hosts had a cute exchange as Noah took measurements of Stewart's stage…and his inseam.
