Julia Roberts, Dermot Mulroney Have a ‘My Best Friend’s Wedding’ Reunion: Photos!

Julianne and Michael together again! Nearly twenty years after they costarred in My Best Friend’s Wedding, Julia Roberts reunited with Dermot Mulroney while attending the 2016 Guys Choice Awards in in Culver City, California, on Saturday, June 4.

Mulroney, 52, was on hand to honor the Oscar winner with the Woman of the Decade award. “I had the pleasure of playing Julia’s best friend in My Best Friend’s Wedding and life imitates art and we became best friends,” Mulroney said at the Sony Lot.

Roberts, 48, joined him on stage and the two shared a sweet embrace. “It’s so nice to be liked by guys now that I am in my golden years,” she joked to the crowd.

Mulroney continued to gush over Roberts backstage. “I’d walk a mile on broken glass for her, so this was a lot easier to come in to Culver City,” he told Entertainment Tonight. “It doesn’t always happen with every person that you love and work with — you kind of go your separate ways,” he added. “But we, against all odds, managed to maintain a great close friendship. So, I’m happy to be here tonight.”

Roberts and Mulroney played Julianne Potter and Michael O’Neal in the beloved 1997 comedy My Best Friend’s Wedding. Julianne was in love with Michael and tried to stop him from marrying his girlfriend, Kimberly Wallace (Cameron Diaz). Julianne was the worst “best man” in history, but her failed efforts inspired a humorous car chase and a “I Say a Little Prayer” sing-along led by her gay best friend George Downes, played by Rupert Everett.
