Kate Middleton gave birth on TV! In this new parody, that is. The British animated series Newzoids spoofed the Duchess of Cambridge going into labor with the second royal baby on Wednesday, April 29. Middleton looked nothing like herself (such creepy expressions!), but her hair was convincingly perfect.
In the humorous episode, Prince William is thrown into a panic when Middleton goes into labor inside the Lindo Wing of St. Mary’s Hospital in London. So, what do they do? Call the midwife Chummy, of course!
Middleton is then whisked away and settles into a quaint hospital room. Instead of casual clothes, she’s wearing what appears to be the same blue Issa dress she donned for the couple’s engagement announcement in November 2010. Prince William, meanwhile, wears his usual khaki pants, white collar top, and sweater. Sadly, Prince George was not part of the sketch! But Queen Elizabeth II did make an appearace.
In real life, Middleton and Prince William seem to be at ease about welcoming their soon-to-be prince or princess — whenever that may be. They celebrated their fourth wedding anniversary on Wednesday, and Middleton even got behind the wheel to bring Prince George to his swimming lessons on Tuesday.
Newzoids airs on Wednesdays on ITV1 at 9 p.m.
