Taylor Sheridan‘s Landman is going through cast shakeups as production begins on season 3 following numerous filming delays.
Paramount confirmed on Thursday, October 1, that Colm Feore, Mustafa Speaks, Bobbi Salvor Menuez and Francesca Xuereb were upped to series regulars. They join Billy Bob Thornton, Demi Moore, Andy Garcia, Ali Larter and Sam Elliott.
Jacob Lofland, Michelle Randolph, Paulina Chávez, Kayla Wallace, Mark Collie and James Jordan are back for season 3 as well — along with Michael Kelly, who also stars on Sheridan’s Lioness.
“Just to collaborate with Taylor Sheridan, I consider him to be one of our best writers ever. Nobody has ever done what he’s doing right now,” Kelly, 57, exclusively told Us in July. “Nope, it’s never happened. I don’t know that anyone’s ever had six hit TV shows — let alone six hit TV shows at once. This is unprecedented, and I consider myself very fortunate to be working with one of the best to ever do it.”
Based on the “Boomtown” podcast, Landman joins the Sheridan universe alongside Yellowstone, Mayor of Kingstown, Tulsa King, Lawmen: Bass Reeves and Lioness. The hit Paramount+ series introduced Thornton as a corporate fixer working for an oil titan in a West Texas-set drama with life-and-death stakes.
Landman began filming in Texas in early 2024, premiering its first season that November. Production on season 2 started in April 2025 and ended that August, with the episodes airing in November 2025.
While season 3 was originally scheduled to film in May, it was pushed three months later. Production was delayed again before filming finally began this month.
“I’ve only gotten one [script]. Taylor is in the thick of it as we speak. He’s writing season 2 as we speak,” Jordan, 47, exclusively told Us in August. “All I’ll tell you is it’s going to be a heck of a ride.”
Jordan confirmed there wouldn’t be a time jump when the series finally returns.
“We pick up where we left off, and I’m just as excited as you are to see where this story goes. We’re going to get to work,” he shared. “We start work here in about three weeks, and we’re going to pump out a great new season for folks.”
He concluded: “The way they edit nowadays, the turnaround is so quick. We might be on the air before the end of the year. I certainly hope so. That little holiday window that we’ve had the last two seasons around Thanksgiving through the end of the year, I think that’s just such a perfect window for Landman.”
