Sometimes you have to see it to believe it. On the Wednesday, September 21, episode of Hollywood Medium With Tyler Henry, Larry Birkhead admitted he was “not a believer,” but insisted he was still “open” to the possibility of the 20-year-old’s gift. It seemed that Tyler Henry was a bit uncertain about Larry as well, considering he admitted he thought the 43-year-old single father was Keith Urban when he opened the door. (Sorry, Keith!)
As a quick refresher, Anna Nicole Smith was 39 when she passed away from an overdose of prescription drugs in February 2007. Later that year, her ex Larry was given full custody of their daughter, Dannielynn Birkhead, who was only 5 months old at the time, and he has raised her ever since. (Dannielynn is now 10.)
Back to Basics
Once they got settled, Larry handed Tyler a watch, and the clairvoyant got right down to business, immediately honing in on Larry’s father, who passed away suddenly following a knee surgery. From there, however, things shifted rather quickly to a “younger woman,” who was quite obviously Anna Nicole Smith. “I’m seeing a symbol of putting lipstick on a mirror,” Tyler began. “It’s a message in lipstick, is the way this comes through, and it’s a symbol, but it’s coming through to kind of help convey this individual’s personality.”
Larry was blown away by the insight, revealing that he and Anna Nicole used to “write messages back and forth” that way. Tyler also mentioned the month of May, a reference to Kentucky and a “big hat.” Larry immediately recalled his initial meeting with Anna Nicole, which happened at the Kentucky Derby when he was wearing a sizable hat.
“He was getting so much about Anna Nicole, and not knowing it was her, and it was hard for me to even keep up, but it was so spot-on in so many ways,” Larry marveled.
What’s in a Name
The medium then made reference to Larry switching his daughter’s name — yet another accurate fact. “My daughter was named after her brother, who passed away — her half brother. At the last second, her name was changed to honor her brother who passed,” Larry explained. It was a short moment, and they didn’t go into it beyond that, but it was obvious that Dannielynn’s dad was impressed.
Larry Was Anna Nicole’s Soulmate
Larry then handed Tyler a bright red dress and asked him what he saw in that. “She really deeply shows this immense joy that you are raising her child,” Tyler replied before turning his attention to the romance between Larry and Anna Nicole. “The place that she had for you in her heart surpassed any other relationship that she could have had, any other person that could have been in her life. There is an acknowledgment that, no, you are the soulmate regardless of any other people who step forward,” the medium revealed.
“You are the one that has the connection to her and that she feels connected to. All of these other people are just extraneous. When she comes through, she makes it a point for it to be known how much she loved you, and she chooses to really emphasize love, and shows me a big heart.” Larry smiled at that.
Anna Nicole Reviews Larry’s Parenting Skills
Overall, Tyler said his biggest takeaway was how much Anna Nicole appreciated Larry keeping Dannielynn “safe” and “away from the media.” Larry replied, “It’s such a hard job as a parent in a situation where her mother was so public, and there was so much going on around her, and so to hear that that has been a good thing, and appreciated, really meant a lot.”
Tyler then went on to repeat several times that Larry was “doing everything right,” and shouldn’t question that from here on out. Tyler said Anna Nicole wanted to give Larry “reassurance” that he was doing a great job, prompting Larry to explain how he tries to do little things with their daughter to honor Anna Nicole’s memory, like picking out outfits that the late star would have liked, and letting Dannielynn paint his nails the way she would have painted Anna Nicole’s.
“Hearing she thinks I’ve done more than enough, that means a lot,” Larry said as tears welled in his eyes.
