ABC Family's newest drama Recovery Road about a teenage girl with addiction issues who heads to rehab, is welcoming Laura Bell Bundy in an upcoming episode, Us Weekly has learned exclusively.
The actress, whom you might recognize from Anger Management, Hart of Dixie, or How I Met Your Mother — or, for Broadway fans, Legally Blonde: The Musical — will play Monica, a reality TV producer who enters the Springtime Meadows rehab facility with her cameras in tow and disrupts the residents' lives. Bundy will recur throughout the latter half of the show's first season.
Recovery Road, based on the YA novel of the same name by Blake Nelson, stars Jessica Sula (Skins) as Maddie, a party girl who heads to rehab after an intervention by her school guidance counselor. It also stars Daniel Franzese (Mean Girls, Looking), Sharon Leal (Dreamgirls), Kyla Pratt (One on One), Lindsay Pearce (The Glee Project), and more.
The new series is scheduled to premiere in 2016.
Bundy, who released a country album in 2010, spent time as a series regular on FX's Charlie Sheen-starring Anger Management, and recurred as Southern belle Shelby on The CW's recently canceled Hart of Dixie.
