The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City’s Lisa Barlow is trying her best to focus on her marriage to John Barlow — and nobody else’s.
“I love marriage. I love the unity of it, and it doesn’t always work for everybody,” Lisa, 51, exclusively shared with Us at The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Roaring 20th launch event on Tuesday, August 4, in New York City. “But we always want people to do what feels good for them, for their families. Luckily, we’re just at a point where we’re announcing separations and not divorces. That’s the great news in the whole thing.”
The Bravo star added, “For me, I think where you put your energy is where you’ll get the results, and that’s a choice.”
Earlier this summer, news broke that Angie Katsanevas and her husband, Shawn Trujillo, had called it quits after nearly 30 years of marriage. Whitney Rose and her husband, Justin Rose, also separated after 16 years of marriage.
After her costars’ splits were made public, Lisa herself raised eyebrows when she posted a photo alongside John with the caption, “Partners in it all.”
When asked if it was a dig at her costars’ breakups, Lisa explained her intention behind the post.
“I just focus on me and my family and what’s going on in my life. If you listen to [my song] ‘Baby Gorgeous,’ the lyrics are, ‘I just live my life. You can take a bite and just taste it.’ For me, it was like I’m celebrating my business, my marriage, my family and we have so many good things happening in our household that I was just focusing on us,” she shared from The Lobster Club. “If people want to read into it, they can. But it was about us. It was about my union, my partnership, my love, our brand and that’s all it was about.”
The woman behind VIDA Tequila added, “Sorry, I don’t worry about anybody else. I wish you all well, but I’m having my own moment, focusing on me.”
This summer, viewers will be able to watch Lisa experience a girls’ trip to remember when she teams up with Vicki Gunvalson, Kyle Richards, Gizelle Bryant, Teresa Giudice and more Housewives for RHUGT: Roaring 20th.
“Every single person I bonded with in such a unique, special way,” she shared. “They are my girls. I love them all. Every single one.”
Watch the group’s dynamics when The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Roaring 20th premieres on Bravo Sunday, August 9, at 9 p.m. ET. Stream new episodes the next day on Peacock.
