Love Island USA’s Kenzie Annis is getting honest about how many men she slept with before deciding to be celibate.

“[Celibacy] was definitely by choice,” Kenzie recalled on the Wednesday, July 15, episode of the “Call Her Daddy” podcast. “Because [my body count] was four [men] for a while and it was only my boyfriends — the guys that I had very seriously talked to.”

Kenzie revealed that she slept with “three more guys” in the span of a year, adding, “It made me just feel like I needed that connection. I need that connection with someone in order to do that.”

After having casual sex, Kenzie said she felt “kind of icky.”

“I was just like, ‘I like to be a relationship girl,'” she continued. “So I stopped because I wasn’t talking to anyone. I wasn’t going to do it. Then I’m like, ‘Well, I’m going on Love Island. I’ll just hopefully find my man there.'”

The Love Island franchise originally began in the U.K. in 2002 before expanding worldwide with various spinoffs, including Love Island USA on Peacock. The series follows a different group of singles every season who have to pair off in order to stay in the show’s luxury villa for the chance to win $100,000.

The contestants — referred to as Islanders — live in isolation in a villa and are under constant video surveillance as they attempt to find love.

While Kenzie didn’t win season 8, she did walk away with a connection after meeting Dylan Wrona. She faced her fair share of challenges throughout the journey while exploring her chemistry with Zach Georgiou, Corbin Mims, Caleb McDaniel and Gat Tshnieder.

After being accused of “misleading” the men in the villa, Kenzie issued an apology.

“I do feel bad about that. I feel really bad,” she said in a July episode. “I don’t ever want to make anyone feel bad. I feel bad that I led [anyone] on.”

She continued: “I guess I just don’t know how to go about this in a good way. I’ve never dated two people. It’s not natural. It’s not normal for me.”

Following her exit, Kenzie spoke with her father on a July episode of Love Island USA: Aftersun‘s special about the public’s reaction to her. He got honest about having to watch her get intimate with multiple men — and how that was received by others. While Kenzie’s father understood her decision to explore on the show, he informed Kenzie that she was viewed as being obsessed with sex.

“I am not a sex maniac,” she clapped back on the phone call.

Later in the episode, Kenzie was interviewed by hosts Ciara Miller and Tefi Pessoa. Dylan also joined, and Kenzie could be heard on the mic, saying, “I am getting horny, bro.”

Love Island USA is streaming on Peacock.
