Love Island USA‘s Trinity Tatum set the record straight after rumors she was escorted out of the season 8 reunion.
Following the taping on Monday, August 10, speculation swirled online that Trinity, 22, was removed from the set. One X even alleged that Trinity “had to be escorted out.”
The chatter eventually made its way back to the Islander, who was quick to shut it down. “This is not true idk where this info came from lmaoo,” Trinity replied to a fan account via TikTok.
According to an X user, Trinity allegedly addressed the claims again in a private Instagram group chat.
“I hate I even have to say this but don’t believe everything on the net lol I did not get escorted out,” she reportedly wrote. “Also we never had an altercation but goodnight my loves.”
Before the reunion airs later this month, Love Island USA fans have speculated that Trinity and Sol Dean are likely to hash out their offscreen issues.
Trinity previously hinted that there was still tension between them when she brought up one of Sol’s comments from Love Island: Aftersun during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen in July. (The bombshell said, “[Bryce Dettloff] probably thinks Kayda is prettier than Trinity.”)
Trinity — who won the season with Bryce — said on the late night show: “I think she said a lot of unprovoked things after she left, and I didn’t have an issue with her. I never once had a problem with her because she didn’t come for me. So, for her to make comments about me and my couple, my relationship, it was a little off-putting.”
The Love Island franchise originally began in the U.K. in 2002 before expanding worldwide with various spinoffs, including Love Island USA on Peacock. The series follows a different group of singles every season who have to pair off in order to stay in the show’s luxury villa for the chance to win $100,000.
The contestants — referred to as Islanders — live in isolation in a villa and are under constant video surveillance as they attempt to find love.
Host Ariana Madix recently weighed in on what fans can expect from the reunion given the Islanders’ radio silence on social media after leaving Fiji.
“I feel personally that it’s helpful for me,” Ariana, 41, exclusively told Us, admitting it’s “hard” to “keep up with” every development for each Islander once they leave the villa.
“It is hard for me to keep up when everything is out there,” she noted. “I want to be able to keep up because, of course, I want to be able to ask the best questions.”
Ariana continued: “I want to be able to follow up with certain things. So for me, it is helpful that I’ll be able to see them and catch up with them in real time. I think it’s going to be so great because I’m really, really looking forward to asking them what’s been going on the last few weeks and having them give us all the updates.”
The Love Island USA reunion premieres on Peacock Monday, August 31.
