‘Married at First Sight’ Premiere Reveals Groom’s One Downside Just Before He Ties the Knot

Are his dreams of romance going up in smoke? The Married at First Sight matchmakers reveal in the season 4 premiere on July, Tuesday 26, that Nick Pendergrast‘s cigarette habit makes him a tough candidate to pair up.

“They were the only people that I know at this point that are together 45 or so years and were still passionately in love, so it was saddening but also enlightening at the same time,” he explains.

Dr. Pepper Schwartz, the show’s relationship expert, is concerned that Pendergrast’s key vice may hinder his ability to find romance.

“Nick could be a great husband for some lucky woman,” Schwartz tells the camera. “I think he’s a man of integrity and honesty, but I’m not sure we can find him a match because of his smoking.”
