‘Married by Mom and Dad’ Groom Disapproves of His Parents’ Bride Pick: ‘I’m Freaking Out’

Perhaps Mom and Dad don't know best? Married by Mom and Dad's Sunday, February 14, episode features a groom-to-be who has serious issues with the woman his parents have chosen for him to marry, as seen in Us Weekly's exclusive sneak peek.

The footage from TLC's arranged-marriage series shows John's incredibly awkward conversation with his fiancée, Chandler, in his home. When she tells him, "I love your parents — they're awesome," John just responds by cracking up.

"I think I'm more invested in this whole process than John is," Chandler tells the camera. "John is apprehensive about talking even [about] living situations, so it brings up some red flags on this whole [relationship]."

John later tells the camera that he questions why his parents made the selection that they did.

"I really trust my parents, and this was in their hands, and I really believe they are making the best decision they can, but I'm freaking out a little bit right now about the whole situation," he admits.

Married by Mom and Dad airs on TLC on Sundays at 10 p.m. EST.
