Jimmy Fallon‘s fake ’90s soap operas are back — and this time Martin Short is his costar, slapping him around in a display of extreme marital dysfunction!
The Tonight Show star debuted his and Short’s impressive imaginary former soap, Tensions, on Thursday, Nov. 5, in a clip which saw the two of them playing opposite each other in the role of husband and wife.
Fallon played the male role, with Short taking the part of his long-suffering, frustrated wife. “There were no women in Hollywood at that time,” Short explained to the audience as he discussed the show with Fallon.
“I remember the producers wanted to make every single moment as tense as possible,” he said, preparing the crowd for the three clips that lie head.
“I think they might’ve gone too far, they made it too tense for no reason,” added Fallon.
