Special Forces’ Mauricio Umansky Wants Daughter Alexia to Be ‘Uncomfortable’ After ‘Privileged’ Life (Exclusive)

Mauricio Umansky wants daughter Alexia Umansky to be pushed physically and emotionally on Special Forces after living a “very” comfortable life.

In Us‘ exclusive clip from the Thursday, October 8, episode of the hit Fox series, Mauricio, 56, watches his 30-year-old daughter take on a dangerous challenge, saying, “Even though I am very protective as a dad, I want to see what kind of grit she has.”

Mauricio recalls how much he and ex Kyle Richards have shielded their kids from hardship.

“She has lived a very privileged life,” he notes. “This for Alexia is a moment to get uncomfortable. … I cannot handle this stress right now.”

Mauricio previously spoke to Us about how Kyle, 57, would react to him bringing their daughter onto the competition show.

“We definitely knew that she was freaking out,” he exclusively shared last month. “I had that in the back of my mind every single day.”

Mauricio recalled a challenge in which Alexia was “doing something before” him that caused concern. (The exes also share daughters Sophia, 26, and Portia, 18. Kyle is also the mother of daughter Farrah, 37, whom she shares with ex Guraish Aldjufrie.)

“I was down and away and I was literally the entire time thinking to myself, ‘Oh, my God, Kyle is going to kill me. Alexia is going to die. She doesn’t even know Alexia is going to die,’” he quipped about the challenge, which seemed to be the cliff jump from Thursday’s episode. “Like, ‘What am I going to do when I go back home and tell her I took our daughter into something so dangerous?’”

Alexia, meanwhile, appreciated the concern.

“When I finally left, they’re like, ‘Your husband [Jake Zingerman] and your mom have been calling every single day, texting every single day,’” she exclusively told Us, adding that she was not surprised because “of course they were.”

She continued: “My dad is the most supportive, loving, emotional person I know — I mean, obviously, my whole family is, but having him there with me was everything. And I wasn’t necessarily the strongest person there, and having my dad literally physically lifting me up, pushing me forward — it was just so amazing to have that experience together.”

Season 5 of Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test airs on Fox Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET.
