What an honor!
As first reported by the Daily Mail, British up-and-comer Ellie Goulding will perform at Prince William and Kate Middleton's wedding reception. Sources tell Us Weekly that the 24-year-old will be the only singer to perform at the Buckingham Palace reception.
Goulding was the winner of the BBC Sound of 2010 poll and was awarded the Critics Choice Awards at the 2010 BRIT Awards. According to the Daily Mail, Prince William and Middleton chose the singer to perform because they were both big fans of her music and enjoyed her 2010 debut album, Lights.
An insider added: "Ellie was knocked off her feet when she received the invitation to perform for Prince William and Kate–and was so hugely honored when they said they were both fans of her music… It hasn't sunk in yet."
