Most of the original Scrubs cast is reprising their roles for the highly anticipated revival — but who else is new to the show?
Scrubs, which originally aired from 2001 to 2010, followed the lives of employees at the fictional Sacred Heart Hospital. The hit series starred Zach Braff, Sarah Chalke, Donald Faison, Judy Reyes, Neil Flynn, Ken Jenkins and John C. McGinley before it was brought back for a ninth season titled Med School.
The show’s final season moved the setting to a medical school to introduce new characters. Only Braff, Faison and McGinley remained regular cast members while others made guest appearances. Kerry Bishé, Eliza Coupe, Dave Franco and Michael Mosley were brought in, with Bishé taking over as the show’s new narrator after Braff.
ABC confirmed in July 2025 that the show was being revived for season 10. Keep scrolling to meet the cast — including several familiar faces:
Zach Braff
Zach Braff is returning after playing J.D. in the original series.
Sarah Chalke
After leaving the show in season 9, Sarah Chalke is back as Elliot.
Donald Faison
The Scrubs trio is complete with Donald Faison returning as Turk.
John C. McGinley
John C. McGinley is another OG reprising his role as Dr. Cox in the revival.
Judy Reyes
While pulling double duty with her role on ABC’s High Potential, Judy Reyes is back in the Scrubs world as Carla.
Neil Flynn
Neil Flynn’s character Janitor is expected to make an appearance in the revival.
Joel Kim Booster
Season 10 will introduce Joel Kim Booster as Dr. Eric Park.
Vanessa Bayer
Saturday Night Live alum Vanessa Bayer is joining as Sibby.
Christa Miller
Creator Bill Lawrence’s real-life wife played Jordan in the original show and is expected to return on Scrubs.
Robert Maschio
Robert Maschio’s Dr. Todd is reuniting with his costars for the Scrubs revival.
Ava Bunn
Season 10 will introduce Ava Bunn as part of the medical intern team.
Jacob Dudman
Jacob Dudman is also part of the medical intern team.
David Gridley
The medical intern team is complete with the addition of David Gridley.
Layla Mohammadi
Layla Mohammadi’s Amara is part of Turk’s surgical intern team.
