Mt. Desolation Strums Out An Acoustic Tune Just For Us!

I confess: when Keane members Jesse Quin and Tim Rice-Oxley announced they were starting a new band on the side — and calling it Mt. Desolation — it all sounded a bit hokey and unnecessary. But once I heard the jangly singles "Departure" and "Bitter Pill," I got it.

And now that I've been listening to their October-released, eponymous debut, which features guest spots from The Killers and Mumford And Sons combined with Keane's dreamy Brit pop vibe, I really get it. Wanna get it too? Check out an exclusive interview with the guys — plus an acoustic version of "Pill" — above. Still don't get it? Then visit www.mtdesolation.com for more. You've been warned.
