Did it really end like that?! Fans of the hit musical show Nashville were left reeling after the season 4 finale, which saw the plane Juliette Barnes (Hayden Panettiere) was traveling on go missing before she managed to get home to her ex-husband and child.
And while Twitter erupted in shock and outrage as Avery Barkley (Jonathan Jackson) was delivered the news that Juliette's fate was unknown, the cast and creators of the show joined in the excitement, offering us all a glimmer of hope that this might not really be the end.
"What a cliffhanger!" tweeted Lionsgate films. "But we won't leave you hanging. There's more story to be told. #BringBackNashville," they continued.
Reports of a rumored second ending (a happy ever after for Juliette and Avery, and a more fitting season finale) were flying last week as Lionsgate Films announced via Twitter they were having "numerous talks" with interested networks and were hopeful they'd find a new home for the show.

And the famous cast were keeping their hope alive too as they jumped online to join in the tweets. "We love you #Nashies. Me and @aubreypeeples are sad for #NashvilleFinale," Sam Palladio, who plays Gunnar Scott, wrote as the show aired on Wednesday, May 25. "But there's still hope…."
