Sparks and inebriation! Proving that he's not too busy to enjoy a little quiet time, Nick Offerman appears in a new liquor ad in which he silently sits beside a fire and drinks Scotch — for 45 minutes.
The Parks and Recreation alum is featured in a commercial for Lagavulin whiskey, which debuted on YouTube on Wednesday, Dec. 2. In the surreal spot, Offerman, 45, sits in an armchair with a glass in his hand for the ad's 45-minute duration, periodically taking sips. And that’s it.
The actor — best known for playing Ron Swanson on the acclaimed NBC sitcom, which signed off in February after seven seasons — has kept busy in other projects that require him to do a bit more than just sit and quench his thirst. He appeared in the recent films 22 Jump Street and Me and Earl and the Dying Girl and has had voice roles in The Lego Movie, Hotel Transylvania 2, and the upcoming Ice Age: Collision Course.
