Nicki Minaj, Jimmy Fallon Compare Embarrassing Yearbook Photos on The Tonight Show: Watch

Back to school! Long before Nicki Minaj was a Grammy-nominated rapper and Jimmy Fallon was an Emmy-winning talk show host, the two stars were awkward high school teenagers in the 1990s.

Minaj, 32, caught up with Fallon, 40, on The Tonight Show on Tuesday, Dec. 16, as the celebs reminisced about their high school days.

The funnyman began the trip down memory lane by showing a throwback photo of Minaj that was shared by Beyonce. Bey, who worked with the rapper on a "***Flawless" remix, posted a high school yearbook pic of Minaj in honor of her birthday on Dec. 8. "HAPPY BIRTHDAY ONIKA," Beyonce wrote of the MC, whose real name is Onika Tanya Maraj.

"I know you know Beyonce, but I saw she put out an Instagram of you," Fallon began, grabbing a printout of Beyonce's post. "A picture of you from your high school on her Instagram account. There it is: Onika!"

The black-and-white photo shows a young Minaj grinning for the camera. Sporting a statement necklace and an off-the-shoulder black top, the rapper wears her long black hair pulled back, and is in minimal makeup.

"Oh my god," an embarrassed Minaj exclaimed. "I do hate this picture." Looking gorgeous and understated on The Tonight Show, the star graduated from NYC's LaGuardia High School (aka the Fame school, alma mater to Jennifer Aniston, Sarah Michelle Gellar, and Donald Faison, among others) in 2000.

The "Anacodona" performer wasn't alone in her shame for long. Fallon, who got his diploma from upstate New York's Saugerties High School, soon joined in. The host's team pulled up his priceless yearbook shot, in which he sports a questionable haircut and a whisp of a mustache.
