Finally!
With hours to go before The X Factor begins its first judges' round taping Sunday, Nicole Scherzinger and Steve Jones have been confirmed to host the series.
"These two are going to be great together," series creator Simon Cowell told Us Weekly in a statement late Saturday. "I have always wanted Steve to work with us; I think he is a real star. Nicole is fantastic. I loved working with her on the U.K. X Factor last year. She is gorgeous and super-talented."
Pussycat Dolls' Scherzinger and British TV host Jones join a growing A-list roster of X Factor talent including judges L.A. Reid and Cheryl Cole, who will sit on the panel alongside Cowell. While a fourth judge has yet to be named, a source tells Us Paula Abdul is a strong contender and in the "final stages" of contract negotiations.
Ahead of its September premiere, The X Factor continues to search for the next music superstar or vocal group, and will bring its audition tour to Dallas on May 26.
