Look out, Rumple! Once Upon a Time has cast True Blood alum Wes Brown to play Gaston in the show's ongoing Beauty and the Beast storyline, Variety reports.

Gaston's appearance will take place during the ABC series' currently airing fifth season, although the exact episode has not been set. The plot will involve Belle's (Emilie de Ravin) life before she met Rumple (Robert Carlyle), who also plays the role of Beast on the show.

The hunky hunter was previously played by Sage Brocklebank in a season 1 episode. In Disney's 1991 animated film Beauty and the Beauty, Gaston is the main antagonist and tried to kill the Beast, which doesn't bode well for Belle's on-again, off-again paramour on Once Upon a Time.

Brown, 33, portrayed Luke McDonald on HBO's vampire series True Blood. He has also had recurring roles on Hart of Dixie, 90210 and Private Practice.

Once Upon a Time's fifth season resumes on ABC Sunday, March 6, at 8 p.m. EST.
