Knock, knock — it’s Pauly D!
The MTV reality star (real name: Paul DelVecchio) recently performed at an Army base for soldiers being deployed to Afghanistan, and now the Jersey Shore star is continuing to give back on his spin-off series, The Pauly D Project.
On Thursday’s all-new episode, the Rhode Island-based disc jockey, 31, surprises 15-year-old cancer patient Dereck at his home, sending the teen into stunned silence.
“The look on his face was what meant everything to me,” Pauly says in the above preview clip. Once Dereck recovers from the initial shock of seeing Pauly in his dining room, he and Pauly bond over Dereck’s newfound love for deejaying.
Later, Pauly gifts the teen with t-shirts from his Dirty Couture line, headphones from 50 Cent and other goodies.
“Dereck has had a bad time — he’s been going through the treatments for two years now, and it makes me feel good that I can take his mind off that,” Pauly — who worked with Rhode Island’s A Wish Come True organization to fulfill Dereck’s dream — says in the clip.
