Pink Says She and Husband Carey Hart Are ‘Due’ for Another Break

Always an open book! Pink opened up about the rough patches she and her husband, Carey Hart, have gone through on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Wednesday, May 4.

“We take breaks. We’ve had two breaks,” Pink, 36, explained. “The first one was about a year. And the second one was 11 months.”

The “Just Like Fire” singer and Hart, 40, previously split in 2003 before reconciling and tying the knot in January 2006. They broke up again in 2008 and got back together the following year.

The couple, who celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary in January, have been together ever since. However, Pink joked that they’re “due” for another split.

Pink also recalled what their last argument was about. As it turns out, the BMX rider has a tough time leaving their daughter Willow, 4, at bedtime.

“He always falls asleep putting Willow to bed. The other night I said, ‘Are you going to stay up tonight?’ And he said, ‘I would like to.’ I said, ‘I don’t really know what that means. Should I light candles and open wine and put on a show? Like, are we going big here? Or are you going to fall asleep again?” Pink told DeGeneres. “So I lit the candles and opened the wine and an hour and a half later [he’s asleep].… Can’t he just stay awake? He sucks.”

Pink quickly changed her tune, though. After all, the annoying habit just proves what a great father he is.

“He’s very, very handsome,” she raved. “He’s an incredible dad. That’s why he falls asleep. Because she wants him to stay.”
