Queen Latifah Offers Job to “I Quit” Girl Marina Shifrin

When Marina Shifrin posted her ebullient "I Quit" video on Saturday, Sept. 28, in which she dances with abandon to Kanye West's "Gone" and (very) publicly resigned from the company she worked at, little did she know that the clip would become a massive viral YouTube hit and that she would, just a few days later, be offered another job, by a big-time Hollywood celeb, no less!

Shifrin's whirlwind, globe-trotting experience began in Taiwan, where she worked for Next Media Animation, a company that makes news videos. Instead of offering a simple resignation letter, the burned-out employee created the attention-grabbing 'I Quit" clip, explaining via captions, "I have put my life into this job, but my boss says quantity, speed and views are what is most important."

Her video, which has amassed 11.5 million hits so far, led to a guest appearance on the Queen Latifah Show on Oct. 3. When Latifah asked her, "So, you looking for a job?" Shifrin initially assumed the host was joking. But it soon became clear that the offer was for real!

"I'm a boss," Latifah said. "And bosses can hire!"
