Reese Witherspoon Looks Young and Beautiful in #TBT Picture From Her “Second Movie Ever”

As beautiful then as she is now! In honor of Throwback Thursday on Sept. 11, Reese Witherspoon took to Twitter and Instagram to share a photo of herself from 1991, when she appeared in the TV movie Wildflower — only her second film ever. (Her first was the coming-of-age drama The Man in the Moon.)

The picture shows the now-38-year-old Devil's Knot actress on set and in costume as Ellie Perkins. Her hair in the shot is darker and more strawberry-blonde than her current hue, and she appears to be holding some kind of camera in her hand while giving a little sassy side-eye to the photographer.

"#TBT On the set of my second movie ever, Wildflower," she captioned the pic of her 15-year-old self. "Always playing a tomboy."

Directed by Diane Keaton, Wildflower was based on the book Alice by Sara Flanigan. It featured Witherspoon as a young girl who, along with her brother, befriends a partially deaf girl who'd been abused by her stepfather. Beau Bridges and Patricia Arquette costarred.

Incidentally, the actress' #TBT post comes two days after a similar burst of nostalgia from her ex-husband, Ryan Phillippe. On Tuesday, Sept. 9, the Secret and Lies actor, 40, tweeted his memory of the day he and Witherspoon welcomed daughter Ava 15 years ago.

"15 yrs ago today, was my last [day] on The Way of the Gun. A helicopter waited off set to transport me from the 'Mexican brothel' in Utah to Cedars Sinai in Beverly Hills," he wrote. "With my stomach in knots, exhausted & dirty, covered in syrupy fake blood & shards of candy glass, the heli found the pad and I was taken to an area to sterilize myself. I made it to my then wife's beside with two hours to spare before my baby girl first entered the world. 15 years ago I learned what love truly is."
