Real Housewives of Orange County Reunion Finale: Vicki Gunvalson’s “Gut Says That” Brooks Ayers Doesn’t Have Cancer

Let’s get down to business. On the third and final part of the explosive Real Housewives of Orange County Season 10 reunion, veteran Housewife Vicki Gunvalson finally admitted that her “gut says” that her ex-boyfriend Brooks Ayers — the biggest source of drama this past season — does not have cancer.

Gunvalson’s estranged friend Shannon Beador brought a copy of Ayers’ supposed cancer report as well as the “real” report, presenting both to host Andy Cohen and her fellow Orange County cohorts. The document revealed that Ayers’ claims, including his papers which he once presented, were fraudulent.

Then, after an entire season of defending her then-beau, Gunvalson finally gave up. Cohen asked the businesswoman what her gut was saying about Ayers’ cancer claims.

“My gut says he doesn’t have it,” she said, point-blank. “I don’t have any proof that he doesn’t, and he won’t give me enough proof that he does. I’ve been busy with my business and this big house, and I’m like, ‘There has to be truth in this stuff.'”

The turning point for Gunvalson was this past summer. “I would say probably three months ago,” she recalled. “I really questioned him and said to him, ‘This isn’t making sense. Why won’t you give me your reports?'” According to the Housewife, Ayers would reply: “‘You have no right…You’re going to take them to the women.’” (In fact, the two officially split this past August, nearly three months ago.)

Beyond the cancer claims, the women — including Gunvalson’s daughter Briana Culberson and longtime fellow OC Housewife Tamra Judge — both had more reason to despise Ayers. According to Judge, Gunvalson supposedly left her then-husband Donn for Ayers after her new boyfriend claimed he was dying from pancreatic cancer. However, it was pancreatitis, not pancreatic cancer. “My very first year on the show, Vicki and I, we clicked immediately. And called me and said, ‘Someone I’m very close to has cancer. Somebody that I have a connection with, and now I regret never carrying on this connection,'” Judge recalled. “‘He’s dying, and I feel like I need to go be with him and leave Donn and be with this guy.’ And I said, ‘Wow, okay.’ She was crying, all this stuff. It was Brooks. And he lied then.”

Even worse? Both Judge and Culberson also claimed that Ayers had been physically abusive towards Gunvalson. “I saw it, twice,” Culberson claimed. “What?” replied Gunvalson. “What, he shook my shoulders in the hall?”

Gunvalson’s continual defense of her ex-boyfriend made the women wonder whether he had something on her that he was using to blackmail her. Cohen then asked Gunvalson whether she was scared of her ex, to which she responded with a slight head nod.

At the end, Gunvalson confessed that she had been manipulated and tricked by Ayers. Her daughter offered up her own theories.

“I think she’s freaking out about all the damage this man has done to her life,” Culberson noted. “And she’s in a huge state of shock.”

“I’ve got pieces to pick up a little,” Gunvalson concluded. “I got duped.”
