No matter what differences Gizelle Bryant may have with Karen Huger, she doesn’t want to see her costar’s marriage struggling.
“That makes me sad. I definitely want Karen and Ray to work things out,” Gizelle, 56, exclusively told Us when promoting season 11 of The Real Housewives of Potomac. “I think they need each other.”
When a brand-new season kicked off earlier this month, cameras rolled as Karen, 63, described how her longtime marriage had shifted after she was released from jail in September 2025 following a DUI conviction.
“I think he’s angry because he has a new wife,” Karen speculated in a confessional interview, while noting that she was focused on “taking care of myself and getting well.”
In another scene, Ray, 79, said that he thought “non-sober Karen might’ve been more fun.”
As viewers prepare to watch the couple’s dynamics unfold on camera, Gizelle is hopeful Karen and Ray — who have been married since 1996 — can make it work.
“I think that Ray has always been Karen’s rock,” she said. “I don’t want to see Karen not have her rock and regress.”
Some loyal fans are also hoping Gizelle and Karen can get along as another unpredictable season unfolds.

When the trailer for season 11 was released in September, viewers noticed the two Potomac OGs get locked into a screaming match.
While Gizelle isn’t ready to spill the tea on what went down, she assures fans the disagreement came from a place of love.
“It is because I care about Karen that I was so angry,” she told Us. “I think in the past I would not have been so upset, but I’ve very much been a friend to Karen. I’ve shown up for her, and I felt like she wasn’t giving me that in return.”
Ultimately, Gizelle is quick to praise the Grand Dame of Potomac for “sharing her true self more so than before.”
“She’s more vulnerable. She, I think, is a little bit more open to share her life and to share where she is,” the “Reasonably Shady” podcast cohost continued. “She can tell her story, but there are issues with Ray there. I think she’s leaning a little bit more on the ladies, which she’s never really done before.”
The Real Housewives of Potomac airs on Bravo Sundays at 8 p.m. ET. Stream new episodes the next day on Peacock.
