‘Rocky Horror Picture Show’ TV Remake Casts Victoria Justice as Janet

Hot patootie! Victoria Justice has landed the key role of Janet in Fox’s TV remake of Rocky Horror Picture Show, the network announced on Monday, January 4.

The 22-year-old actress, best known for starring in Nickelodeon’s Victorious, will take on the part that proved to be a star-making turn for Susan Sarandon in the 1975 cult film.

Fox also announced that Ryan McCarten (Liv and Maddie) will play Brad, while Reeve Carney (Penny Dreadful) has been cast as Riff Raff. In the original film, Barry Bostwick was Brad, and Richard O’Brien played Riff Raff.

They join a cast that already includes Emmy-nominated Orange Is the New Black star Laverne Cox as Dr. Frank-N-Furter.

The two-hour taped event is set to air in fall 2016 on Fox. The network also has Grease: Live set to air January 31.
