Live from New York — it's Saturday Night, girl. This weekend, Ryan Gosling is hosting Saturday Night Live for the first time, and things get mighty awkward between him and cast member Aidy Bryant in the promos for the NBC sketch series' episode.
In one of the teasers, released on Wednesday, Dec. 2, Bryant, 28, tells Gosling, 35, to make out with her, to which he politely declines. (Can't blame a gal for trying!) Instead, the Big Short star gives her a consolation hug.
"I like where your head's at, though," Gosling tells her. "Let's bond."
In another clip, the Mickey Mouse Club alum disastrously tries to reenact a moment from a classic '90s film.
"Hey, you remember that scene from Titanic?" Gosling asks Bryant as he then spits over a railing. "Oh, my God, I just spit on a baby."

Gosling hosts Saturday Night Live on Dec. 5 at 11:30 p.m. ET on NBC. He'll be joined by musical guest Leon Bridges.
