And the people choose … Sandra Bullock!

The actress, 45, was the big winner at the 36th Annual People's Choice Awards Wednesday night in L.A.

The Blind Side star bested Jennifer Aniston, New Moon's Kristen Stewart and Drew Barrymore for Favorite Movie Actress. She also took home trophies for Favorite Onscreen Team with Ryan Reynolds and Favorite Comedy, both for The Proposal.

"I am only up here because I am fortunate to work with people who make me look good," Bullock, who has won the Favorite Movie Actress award four other times, said in her acceptance speech. "Life is hard sometimes, but we get through with laughter."

Johnny Depp won the male counterpart over Brad Pitt, Hugh Jackman, Reynolds and Robert Pattinson.

Still, the Twilight Saga won for Favorite Movie and for Movie Franchise, and Taylor Lautner grabbed the prize for Breakout Movie Actor. Miley Cyrus, though she has been the star of Hannah Montana since 2006, nabbed the Breakout Movie Actress honor.

Keith Urban beat out John Mayer and Eminem for Favorite Male Artist. Taylor Swift, like she has at many recent awards shows, snagged the Favorite Music Artist, while Carrie Underwood won for Favorite Country Artist, for which Swift was also nominated.
