Things are getting spicy in Charleston among the Southern Charm cast — well, according to Salley Carson and Austen Kroll, that is.
“Some friendships, I feel like, are lost,” Salley, 31, exclusively teased to Us Weekly of the upcoming season while teaming up with Fireball for the dad bod whisky fanny pack. “A couple friendships have been lost on my side.”
While Austen, 38, joked that his costar and friend is going to be “so in trouble” for giving fans hints, Salley reminded him, “I didn’t say who.”
Austen continued, “I mean, I just think that if we’re being honest, I think that a lot of people that have been on this show for a long time are getting older, and things are settling down, and you have different ways. Like, different things make me excited than they maybe did five years ago.”
Last season on Southern Charm, cameras rolled as Austen and Salley tried to determine if their friendship was meant to be something more.
While the duo are staying mum on their current relationship status, viewers will have to watch the upcoming season to learn where the pair truly stands.
“I think that, obviously, we’re filming season 12, and you’re going to see our relationship dynamic play out,” Austen teased. “We’re certainly talking about that a lot amongst one another, and Salley and I just have a lot of fun together, and this Fireball campaign was no different. We had so much fun doing it, and the pictures that are coming out are too funny, and we just had fun.”
Just in time for Father’s Day, the Bravo stars and Fireball created a cheeky PSA-style campaign that asks fans to pledge their support to save the dad bod. Fans 21 and over can join the movement and help keep the dad bod alive by purchasing a Fireball dadbod whisky fanny pack online starting Friday, May 22, at 10 a.m. ET.
When asked why they wanted to be part of the campaign, Salley made it clear that her man doesn’t have to have a six-pack.
“I think mine’s pretty clear, because I love dad bods,” she said with a laugh. “But also, anything with Austin, like, I’m down to do because we just have so much fun together.”
Austen replied, “Well, that’s very sweet Salley. I feel the same way, and I feel like I’m giving an Oscar speech. I’m like, ‘Well, it’s a dream partnership come true.’ We’re just making sure that dad bods are not becoming endangered, and that you can embrace it, and that pretty women like Salley are into it. Everybody take notes.”
Southern Charm is streaming now on Peacock. A premiere date for season 12 has yet to be announced.
