Southern Hospitality star Bradley Carter is explaining why he thinks fans shouldn’t sleep on a potential new season of the hit Bravo show.

“The cameras have not been rolling but the vibe is we’re in a better place than where we were,” Bradley, 29, exclusively told Us on Saturday, August 22, at his “Body by Brad” Keep It Moving workout tour at The Point in El Segundo, California.

“I feel like the cast is coming together,” he continued. “Some people are still on the outside and some are on the inside. Hopefully we get a season 5 so you can find out.”

A bonafide hidden gem in the Bravosphere, Southern Hospitality‘s future has been up in the air amid ongoing rumors the cast is navigating a potentially extensive shakeup and a possible restructuring that could exclude Southern Charm alum Leva Bonaparte and her Charleston, South Carolina, hotspot Republic Garden & Lounge.

While Carter can’t dish on all the details, he did explain to Us that fans should be “hopeful” that season 5 is on the way — eventually.

“I think we should be hopeful,” he said. “I can say that. I definitely think we should be hopeful. I think that there’s a lot more going on than you guys know. I cannot confirm this season 5, but I’m not going to say that it’s off the table.”

He continued, “We have a lot going on in Charleston, and hopefully you guys can smell this.”

The series, which premiered in November 22 as a Southern Charm spinoff, originally featured Leva and her employees Joe Bradley, TJ Dinch, Mia Alario, Emmy Sharrett, Grace Lilly, Maddi Reese, Will Kulp, Lucia Pena, Mikel Simmons alongside Bradley.

As several cast members have explored various business ventures away from the show’s featured restaurant, questions have continued to swirl regarding who will or will not return for a possible season 5 — if one is truly in the works.

Bradley spoke to Us about his fellow cast members taking advantage of various opportunities outside of the show, explaining that growing and evolving is part of Charleston’s culture.

“One thing about Charleston is it’s a food and bev scene, and the community is really driven on people that live there and want to be there,” he said. “And you know, I have a lot of friends growing that are a part of the cast, that are my friends, and it’s cool to see Joe step into a new opportunity over at the Uptown Hospitality Group. It’s cool to see TJ getting ready to open his own brick and mortar. I’m opening my own gym here soon, so there’s lots of different things that are happening and I’m excited for people to continue to grow.”

He added, “I mean, we’re not just kids on a TV show, you know? We’re in our late 20s and our early 30s, still trying to figure it out. As you get to see that grow and really take that next step, it’s cool to see.”
