Steven Tyler has only judged a handful of American Idol hopefuls, but one of season 10's new judges has already made quite the impression.

On Wednesday's premiere, the veteran Aerosmith rocker, 62, was especially taken by one singer in particular: 16-year old Victoria Huggins.

As the North Carolina teen hammed it up for the judges and belted out "Midnight Train to Georgia," all Tyler could do was think of her look.

"Just the right amount [of leg] showing," the judge enthused after his fellow newbie judge Jennifer Lopez complemented the young singer's floral skirt. "That's nice."

Tyler's comment elicited laughs from the panel — which included Randy Jackson — but Huggins brushed it off with an aw-shucks drawl.

"Well, I've got to appeal to the boy audience, but still be a lady," the teen replied without missing a beat.

Later, Jackson was the one who was smitten.

"At 16, she's got every trick in the book. The most personality ever on Idol," he told Huggins, sending her through to the next round, with the blessing of Tyler and Lopez. "For that alone, it's a yes!"

American Idol's second audition episode airs Thursday at 8 p.m. (EST) on Fox.
