Mia Calabrese got to the point where she couldn’t “even watch” the Summer House bonus episode because of Amanda Batula.
“This is ridiculous,” Mia, 34, said during her Tuesday, June 23, appearance on the “MeSsy” podcast. “Amanda made that entire scene about poor me. I’m a victim, and this is why I did the things that I did.”
Amanda, 34, sat down with Lindsay Hubbard for last week’s Summer House bonus episode, “The Aftermath,” which aired following the Bravo show’s season 10 reunion. Amanda discussed her decision to date costar West Wilson — who is her best friend Ciara Miller’s ex — after separating from husband Kyle Cooke.
Mia noted during Tuesday’s “MeSsy” episode that Amanda didn’t mention Ciara’s name once during the entire conversation, nor did she take accountability for her actions.
“Girl, I get it, your relationship [with Kyle] was not perfect, and I agree with you. You needed to get out of that relationship and find yourself and love on yourself. You deserve all of those things,” Mia said. “Women deserve that, people deserve that. But let me tell you something: There’s two million West Wilsons in Lower Manhattan. What are we talking about?”

Rumors that Amanda and West, 31, were dating started swirling in early March. By the end of that month, they confirmed that things had become romantic. Most of the three-part season 10 reunion focused on the Summer House cast attempting to confirm the timeline of West and Amanda’s romance. The two appeared aloof as they were questioned about their decision to kick off a relationship.
“These are my two things I think should have happened — and I might get in trouble for this, but fine,” Mia said on Tuesday. “I think they needed to come to the reunion and say, ‘We are madly in love with each other. I cannot think about my life without this person. I know it’s horrible, and I apologize, Ciara. I apologize, Kyle, and you may never forgive me, and that is totally valid, but I cannot fight these feelings of love that I have with this person. There’s some cosmic karmic connection we have that I need to explore what this is.’”
She continued, “If they would have said that, I would have stepped back. I would have said, ‘OK, what am I supposed to say to that?’ What can one say to that? But instead they did the, ‘Well, we don’t really know.’ … Oh, my God, so this isn’t even love; this is just a hookup that went awry.”
Mia gave her “kudos” to Kyle, 43, who kept his cool throughout the entire ordeal. (Amanda and Kyle announced in January that they were separating after four years of marriage.)
“Whether it was the reunion or the bonus episode, when he was talking about the situation, he led with empathy the entire time,” Mia said. “He was worried about Amanda, her well-being and how this is all going to play out for her. He was worried about Ciara and how this hurt Ciara to a point where they’ll never understand.”
