It worked out pretty well for Sarah Palin's daughter Bristol — so why shouldn't Christine O'Donnell give Dancing with the Stars a go?
The buzzed-about Tea Party candidate for Senate from Delaware (she lost the November election to Democrat Chris Coons) confirmed via Facebook on Tuesday that she's being courted to join the ABC hit's cast next season.
"I just got the Official "Ask" from Dancing With The Stars!!" the "I'm Not a Witch" Republican, 41, wrote on the social networking site.
Her thoughts on the big offer: "Although I am utterly flattered, my initial thought was to decline, as 2 year old nephew has more rhythm than me, and my two left feet!!"
O'Donnell then turned the floor over to her Facebook followers, who weighed in on the pros and cons of doing DWTS. O'Donnell is in the midst of writing a book about her failed Senate bid, out this August.
She wouldn't be the first politician to strut her stuff on the show: Republican Tom Delay competed in the ninth season of the dance competition before bowing out with stress fractures on both of his feet.
