Amy, a recently divorced single mom, and former party guy Mike have known each other since she used to babysit him 18 years ago. With his mom having been diagnosed with cancer, Mike opts to move beyond just being friends-with-benefits with Amy. Meanwhile, Amanda and Christian have been friends for 14 years, during eight of which she was dating his best friend. But the pair suddenly decide they’re ready to tie the knot, despite having never kissed each other.

The first promo shows a tense exchange between Amy and Mike after his friend claims that Amy was spending time with her ex. “I made mistakes — I messed up really bad,” Amy tearfully admits to Mike. He tells the camera, “If I can’t trust my wife, then I’m not going to be with her.”
