Trista Sutter — one of the only Bachelorette stars still in a successful relationship — was hardly shocked when she heard that Jake Pavelka and Vienna Girardi had called it quits.
"I can't say I was surprised," she tells Extra. "It must have not been meant to be … at least they figured it out before they got married."
Pavelka's Dancing With the Stars castmate Niecy Nash tells UsMagazine.com she was taken aback the news, however.
"To me, [their relationship] seemed very solid," she told Us Wednesday at the "Flushing for a Cause" event in NYC. "I saw the way he looked at her. I saw her holding her breath at DWTS when it was fearful he might be voted out. They just seemed to be each other’s champions, so I am sad."
But she has a message for them both: "Don’t give up on love," she told Us. "Can you find it in a house with 25 people on an island and all you have to do is drink champagne every day? I don’t know. But you can find it. I just don't want either of them to be discouraged because they’re both really, really good people."
