West Wilson and Amanda Batula shared their side of the story — and pulled back the curtain on their controversial romance — on Summer House: The Aftermath.
Amanda, 34, sat down for a heart-to-heart with Lindsay Hubbard on May 13, just 20 days after the season 10 reunion taped, while West, 31, spoke with Amanda’s estranged husband Kyle Cooke on May 20, to try and explain his feelings for Amanda.
Kyle, 43, asked West point blank, “Do you love her?” during the Tuesday, June 16, special episode, referring to Amanda, whom he was married to for four years before their January split.
“Yeah. I mean, I said I love her the night I left your guys room to her,” West revealed, referring to an August 2025 moment in the Hamptons featured on Summer House when West said, “Amanda, I love you, OK,” following a fight between Kyle and Amanda while they were still married.
West explained, “I really care about her, a f***ing ton.”
West then clarified that he’s had “feelings” for Amanda “beyond friendship” since February, one month before he and Amanda confirmed their romantic relationship. (He maintained nothing physical happened between the pair in 2025, but they grew close amid Amanda and Kyle’s marriage issues.)
“I haven’t got to the point where I have told her or myself that I’m in love or not. But I do love her and have. I have cared about her for a very, very long time,” West told Kyle.
While West told Amanda he loved her in summer 2025, he appeared to be actively trying to win back his ex-girlfriend Ciara Miller throughout season 10 of the Bravo show, which Kyle shamelessly highlighted.
“The things that you did to lure Ciara back in sometimes it’s so blatant on screen,” Kyle said, noting that West being “very touchy” with both Amanda — while they were married — and Ciara in summer 2025 was not cool.
West admitted it’s been a “learning lesson” for him, revealing that after summer ended he and Ciara, 30, did briefly rekindle their relationship.
“We did kiss. Twice, I believe,” West recalled, noting that he also went to her birthday party in December 2025 because he “wanted to be a good friend.” He added that he didn’t go out after because he was “trying to do the right thing a handful of times.”

Amanda Admits to Her ‘Poor Decisions’
Lindsay called out Amanda during their May 13 chat, telling her, “You and West made a very adult decision and now you have to deal with the very adult consequences that come with that. You can’t just be the ostrich who puts their head in the sand.”
“I am going through it and I feel it every day,” Amanda claimed during the episode. “I made some poor decisions.”
Amanda explained that after being in a “s***y relationship” with Kyle, she “lost” herself. “[I] didn’t recognize myself anymore. I was a shell of myself. I just wasn’t me anymore,” she recalled.
Amanda noted that when she started to go out with West and his friends, “ I felt young and in my 20s and fun again. Maybe I confused going out with West and falling in love with myself again and remembering who I am with feelings.”
She recalled loving life again and not feeling “lost and alone and scared anymore,” calling the start of her relationship with West “euphoric.”
“It was hard to think rationally or logically through any of that,” she confessed.
Lindsay responded, “There is validity to what you’re saying. … But that does not excuse going for the one guy that has broken Ciara’s heart multiple times and then got it back and then broke it and got it back.”
Amanda Claims West ‘Pursued’ Her
“I didn’t go for him. He pursued me,” Amanda claimed, rolling her eyes and giving a little smirk.
Lindsay alleged that West told Ciara that Amanda was “the one obsessed with him.”
“You were the one that had a crush on him and nothing physical had happened at that point,” she claimed. “That was March 6.”
“That’s f***ing bulls***. That’s funny. He was actively texting me to hang out all the time and I would always say no,” Amanda responded. “It would be like in group texts. … I would always say no.”
There Was a Shift After Amanda Split From Kyle
Amanda alleged that before she and Kyle split in January, West would text her in a group text and invite her out but she turned him down. She claimed that once she released her joint breakup announcement with Kyle, her mindset shifted.
“West would be like, ‘Were going here’ … ‘come here,’” Amanda recalled, saying she began saying yes because she needed to get out.
She alleged, “When he brought up, ‘Is there something happening?’ It’s like this door open[ed] and I’m like, ‘Wait, what the f*** is going on? Are these feelings more than just enjoying hanging out with him as a friend and having fun?’”
When Lindsay asked, “So he manipulated you?” Amanda replied, “Those are not my words.”
Amanda maintained that to start it was “just conversation” between her and West, but she didn’t shut it down because, “I was so selfish.”
“[I was] so focused on my happiness and feeling good for the first time. It overwhelmed me, this feeling of someone caring about me. A guy,” she confessed.
Amanda Thought She’d Be ‘Alone’ Forever
Amanda revealed that after realizing that she wasn’t going to be with Kyle forever, or have kids with him, the “attention from West” made her feel like, “Oh, maybe this is my person.”
“I was afraid I would be alone the rest of my life. I felt unlovable for so long,” Amanda said.
Lindsay pointed out, “You are getting your self worth from Kyle or lack thereof and that ruined you. Now you’re doing that with another guy.”
“I think I was getting it confused,” Amanda responded.
Have West And Amanda Talked About the Future?
Amanda said that she and West have “partly” talked about a future together. “I knew the severity and the gravity of the situation. If what you’re saying is true … this couldn’t be causal,” she recalled telling West. “You’d have to see a future. You’d have to know I would want to have kids soon.”
While Amanda said the couple “haven’t talked about having kids,” West knew as her “friend” who had “feelings” for her that it was something she wanted longterm.
Lindsay Accuses West of Cheating
“West, he’s already out there embarrassing you. You know who he was on the phone with this morning? Meija [Moreno],” Lindsay claimed, referring to West’s ex, whom he was dating in summer 2025 through March when he went public with Amanda.
Lindsay alleged, “He fucked Meija in March. He cheated on you and cheated on her.” Amanda simply responded, “Yeah.”
“This man is f***ing you up,” Lindsay added. “Yeah. Which I’m now realizing,” Amanda explained. “I wake up with the most anxiety about how I’ve f***ed up my entire life every single day.”
Amanda started to get emotional, saying, “What’s so hard to stomach and process is I just want to be [loved]. I fought for that for so hard for that with Kyle and I felt it so much from West. I just feel really f***ing stupid.”
Lindsay warned Amanda, “The only way to save yourself in this moment is to separate yourself from the sinking ship that West Wilson is. Be the Rose on the Titanic. Let go of the hand.”
West Comes Clean About Meija
“She 100 percent was operating as if we had an exclusive relationship and I wasn’t,” West told Kyle about his ex Meija during their May 20 discussion. “That’s unfair and that’s f***ing s***y. I definitely led her on.”
West further revealed, “She wanted me to visit her family for Christmas, I said, ‘No, that’s not where our relationship is.’ That’s easier than saying, ‘I don’t want to date you.’ I thought that was doing the right thing. I know nothing I ended up doing was the right thing.”
Why West Thinks Amanda Relationship Is Different
“I want her to be happy, man,” Kyle told West about Amanda. “I worry you’re going to break her heart.”
West understood Kyle’s concerns, explaining, “Can I tell you that every other relationship that I’ve had — I have not had good relationships — I can tell you that my relationship with Amanda is the first time it’s ever come from a steady three year friendship. There’s nothing performative about it.”
West added, “I regret so many f***ing things. The one thing I cannot regret and am not going to take back is my feelings for Amanda.”
Meija Was Dating West When He Kissed Ciara on ‘Summer House’
During the last portion of The Aftermath episode, Ciara met up with Meija for a discussion filmed on May 27.
Ciara apologized for the Summer House season 10 footage of her kissing West, realizing later that he was seeing Meija when they hooked up.
“That definitely took the air out of my lungs to see,” Meija said, noting, “That wasn’t your responsibility to tell me.”
Meija explained that a lot of the times that West was away in the Hamptons, she would stay at his place for the weekend and when he got back “we’d talk about” what happened, but “clearly” not everything.
Meija Had a 6-Hour Phone Call With West After the Reunion
“We hadn’t spoken for a few weeks. After the reunion he texted me, ‘You win,’” Meija revealed. “After the whole ‘you win’ thing I think it took him like a week and then he called me. We had this six-hour conversation.”
She added, “A lot of our conversations are now over phone call because of her,” referring to Amanda.
Meija shared that West told her he was going to Italy for a wedding by himself, “Then I found out that Amanda was going.” (West and Amanda attended a wedding together in June as the three-part reunion aired in the U.S.)
She recalled thinking that West going with Amanda abroad “is a f*** you to everyone involved.”
“It’s such a big f*** you to me who has been taking your phone calls and trying to understand you,” she added.
Secret Sex Is Well, Sexy
Ciara pointed out that if Meija “didn’t exist” wasn’t “as important as he says you were” then he wouldn’t be calling her.
“If he’s in this happy relationship and they’re trying to figure it out — can you just admit you blew up your whole f***ing lives to f***?” Ciara said about West and Amanda. “We know West. It was the thrill of the secrecy for him. It was the hiding in plain sight was the most thrilling thing for him. That’s why he liked it.”
Ciara then confessed, “If I’m being real, secret sex is hot. I’ve never done it where its like, ‘I’m fucking my best friends ex.’ Well that’s Evil.”
Meija noted that a “big part” of her relationship with West was a secret, which she “thought I was in on it,” only to later discover she was not.
“Also, same,” Ciara admitted. “I was like, ‘Oh my god, we might be hooking up again but nobody knows,’” she added, referring to her and West’s fall 2025 reconnect.
West’s exes concluded by saying they are “trauma bonded” now and, for better or worse, grateful.
“West and Amanda are trauma bonded,” Meija told Ciara. “I feel like ours is fun. We’re going to outlast their relationship. I’m being so deadass.”
