After his I Am Number Four costar Dianna Agron moved out of their shared pad in February 2011, Pettyfer became "a psycho loose cannon." On February 18, the fiery Brit started a heated confrontation with actor Sebastian Stan, where he accused the Gossip Girl star of hooking up with his ex.

Charlie Sheen

Fed up with his outlandish behavior, Warner Bros. fired Sheen from Two and a Half Men in March 2011. The next day, the unemployed actor -- who once held a knife to estranged wife Brooke Mueller's throat -- waved a machete and pretended to drink "tiger blood" to show his resilience.

Jude Law

The philandering Brit's engagement to his Alfie costar Sienna Miller ended in 2005 after he was caught having an affair with his children's nanny, Daisy Wright. Though he and Miller gave their relationship another shot, they called it quits in February 2011.

Colin Farrell

In July 2006, the Crazy Heart actor sued his former girlfriend, Nicole Narain, over the unauthorized distribution of a 14-minute sex tape. Farrell has also been sued twice for allegedly harassing and sending inappropriate messages to telephone worker Dessarae Bradford; both cases were dismissed.

Christian Bale

In February 2009, a damning audio tape of Bale surfaced online. In his tirade, Bale belittled Terminator Salvation's director of photography, Shane Hurlbut, and threatened to quit the film. Bale later claimed his outburst was "inexcusable" and that he "acted like a punk."

John Mayer

In an explosive Playboy interview in March 2010, Mayer claimed that his ex, Jessica Simpson, "was like sexual napalm." In the same article, he claimed "black people love me" and that he had a "n***** pass." He later apologized for his statements.

Russell Brand

Long before he wed Katy Perry, Brand was addicted to heroin, sex and alcohol. Arrested more than 11 times, the Arthur actor finally got sober in 2002. Thanks to his philandering ways, the former playboy was awarded The Sun's Shagger of the Year award in 2006, 2007 and 2008.

Kanye West

In September 2005, West claimed that "George Bush doesn't care about black people" during a Hurricane Katrina benefit concert. Four years later, the rapper stormed the stage at the MTV VMAs after Taylor Swift beat out Beyonce in the Best Female Video category; he later apologized for both outbursts.

Eminem

The rapper has been open about his addiction to Vicodin, Ambien, Valium and Methadone. In June 2000, Eminem was arrested for flashing an unloaded gun at a car audio store in Michigan. The next day, he assaulted a bouncer for kissing his his then-wife, Kim; he served two years probation.

Tommy Lee

The Motley Crue rocker became infamous in 1995 when a sex tape featuring his then-wife, Pamela Anderson, was stolen and released on the internet. When they split in 1998, he served four months in prison after pleading no contest to kicking Anderson while she was holding their son, Dylan.

Spencer Pratt

Temporarily estranged from Heidi Montag in August 2010, the Hills villain hawked a supposed sex tape featuring his wife; he also planned to write a tell-all book on Montag. "I'm not holding anything back," he told Us. Now reconciled, Pratt has decided not to exploit his marriage.

Robert Downey Jr.

The former drug and alcohol addict spent several years checking in and out of rehab in the '90s. Now sober, the Iron Man 2 star told Playboy in November 2010 that it feels like a "lifetime" since he succumbed to his addictions. "Looking back, I think, 'Oh my God, I could have been done,'" he said.

Johnny Knoxville

Knoxville has suffered "some concussions" and "many broken bones" as a result of Jackass' daredevil stunts. In January 2009, Knoxville was detained at LAX International Airport when security workers discovered an inert grenade in his carry-on; he was later released when they realized it was a prop.
